What is the ugliest thing in your home? What accent or home furnishing would you like to change or replace on one of your rooms? Would updating just one thing create a more special place to live... and enjoy?

The Ohio Design Centre and Cleveland.com have teamed up to bring one lucky cleveland.com user a chance to win $1,000 decorative change in his or her home.

Send us a quality digital image and no more than 50 words letting us know what you'd like to replace or refresh in your home - a lamp, comfy chair or special object d'art to put on a cocktail table. We'll give you $1,000 plus the decorating advice and assistance of an interior designer to help you with your selection.

Your selection will be anything from one of the exclusive showrooms in the Ohio Design Centre in Beachwood, including furniture, accessories, lighting, art, area rugs, decorative fabric, wallcoverings, cabinets, counter tops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, paint and tile. Exclusions include decorative trim, drapery hardware and window treatments. Installation, sales tax and delivery are also excluded from your selections.

Entries must be received by August 27, 2010. The winning prize selection will be made by a panel of professional interior designers and participating showroom representatives of the Ohio Design Centre. The winner will be notified by September 24, 2010. Contestants must be over 18 years old and a resident of Northeast Ohio. Entries may also be featured in contest publicity in local media.
