Working with a qualified interior design professional who uses the Ohio Design Centre is the ideal avenue for gaining access to the 15 showrooms who feature over 400 manufacturers of the exclusive home furnishings merchandise. Interior designers have the professional training, in-depth knowledge of product, costs, vendor services and the experience to effectively manage all details of a project. Designers will assist with:

  • selection of paint colors and finishes
  • choosing quality furnishings and accessories
  • development of floor plans
  • procuring specialized antique, art or accessories
  • overseeing the work of contractors
  • lighting design
  • kitchen and bath design
  • architectural elements
  • window treatments and upholstered pieces

Let us help find the right design professional for your home! The Ohio Design Centre offers two complimentary programs to assist you in finding the right interior design professional for your needs:

The "Design Connection" Program. Our "Design Connection" program connects you to a professional, experienced interior designer selected specifically for your needs. Please call, visit or e-mail the Ohio Design Centre’s Marketing Office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for complimentary designer referral service. A member of our staff will review your specific requirements and refer you to three designers best-suited for your project. You can also browse portfolios of some of the designers in the Design Connection Referral Service to discover the approach, philosophy and style that appeals to you and best meets your needs, taste and lifestyle. How Designers Work

Please keep in mind that all interior design professionals are independent contractors and structure their fees in normally one of these three ways:

  • Project Basis (the designer earns a flat fee based upon the specific project. Normally all merchandise is purchased at the designer's cost. Usually items such as freight, delivery, storage, crating and sales taxes are additional costs).
  • A "cost-plus" percentage (the cost of materials plus an agreed-upon percentage).
  • Hourly Basis (the designer earns a fee for the time spent shopping and selecting items, consulting and installing. Normally all merchandise is purchased at the designer's cost).

Depending upon the type of project, the interior design professional will determine which fee will work best for your project. While the Ohio Design Centre may refer you to an interior design professional, the Ohio Design Centre does not negotiate or take responsibility for contractural terms and agreements between designers and their clients.

Purchase Policy

While the Ohio Design Centre is primarily dedicated "To the Trade" (professionals which includes designers, decorators, architects and fabric workrooms), consumers are welcome to browse and window shop the showrooms during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). However, only design professionals will be provided pricing information, samples and the ability to make purchases directly from the showrooms.

If you see an item that you can't live without while browsing the showrooms, stop by the Marketing Office in Suite 118 for a referral to a designer who can offer assistance as there is not an on-site buying service available to facilitate purchases at this time.
